The unlimited 4F LTE plan will offer data hungry drivers access to all the megabytes they can eat from inside the confines of their vehicle for $20 per month. Included in this fee is access to a prepaid OnStar 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, enabled by AT&T, to enable unlimited data out on the open road. US carriers belatedly began rolling out their own unlimited subscription services with Chevrolets competitors now in all likelihood readying their own plans in riposte. Chevrolets move has been prompted by jump in in-car wi-fi usage last year with customers guzzling 4m gigabytes of data, a 200 per cent increase on the equivalent figure from 2015, as drivers and passengers consume ever more music, movies and maps.
